Fine reproduced Vernis Martin gilt-ormolu mounted serpentine shape side cabinet / buffet. After the model Ca 1880, of Henri Picard. Fully veneered in sans traverse style. The central section finely decorated with a shaped door panel, hand painted through our artist with a "Watteau Esque" 'Vernis Martin' scene depicting maidens at a fountain with putti in attendance, within a gilt-ormolu banded frame, housing one shelf inside. The central panel is flanked by shaped glass doors having shelves on each side for china display, the base upholstered with velvet, ornamented with finely cast acanthus and foliate gilt-ormolu mounts and foliate ormolu sabots.
