Italian Neoclassical style chest of drawers three pieces set, of large commode and pair of smaller comodini, after the model of Giuseppe Maggiolini commode, Lombardy, Château des Sforza (Castello Sforzesco), Milan, Cassettone 1790, the large chest has four drawers, two small frieze drawers in the lower section surmounted by two larger drawers, the pair of comodini are with three drawers, all with ormolu handles, the set is overall banded and inlaid with quarter-veneering and foliate marquetry motifs and pastiglia, the central frontal part inlaid with conforming foliate marquetry centered with head of a Roman Emperor in a foliate medallion, sides and top with banded foliate marquetry motifs and raised on inlaid square tapering legs.
